All Star Elite Teams

Planet Spirit has competitive teams for boys and girls (ages 4 and older) of all ability levels!

No prior cheerleading experience is necessary. Every athlete is placed on a team based on age, ability and experience. We currently have 12 Elite teams including the only two Worlds teams in Minnesota. Our Elite teams practice twice per week and compete locally, regionally and nationally. Tiny, Mini, and Youth teams have fewer competitions that require travel, minimizing the expense for events.

Worlds Teams

Planet Spirit is home to the only two worlds teams in Minnesota - Blackout and Fog!

Blackout is in their second year as a large senior open coed level 6 team. Their first 2 seasons were highly successful, earning a World's Bid at the first event they were eligible to receive one at. 

Our newest level 6 team (FOG) competes in the International Open CoEd non- tumble division.This team will compete a 2 minute routine that consists of primarily stunts, but also includes jumps and dance.  

Both Worlds teams are open to anyone born in 2007 or earlier. Due to the elite level of each of these teams, prior cheer experience is necessary. 

Prep Teams

We are excited to offer prep teams again this season!  A prep team season is a bit shorter than an Elite team season and each team will practice once per week. The overall cost as well as time commitment for a prep team, is considerably less than an Elite team. Prep teams will attend a minimum of 2 events during their season.

Rising Stars Adaptive Team

The Planet Spirit "Rising Stars" are comprised of males and females of all ages. They participate in exhibition performances at many local cheerleading competitions and events.

No Experience is Necessary!

We are so fortunate to have Karna Blake as the coach of the Rising Stars team! Karna has worked in human services with special needs individuals for 30 years! She has coached cheer teams for adaptive athletes for 14 years and is currently a director at Averyon Homes, which provides services and a home for 80 individuals with special needs.
